Long Beach · Sport massage & recovery

We start where it hurts.

Licensed therapists who take a full history before a single technique — then treat the cause, not the spot. Backed by a real recovery suite: cold plunge, infrared sauna and Game Ready Med4Elite, under one roof.

Why people book

Something
isn't
letting go

Almost everyone who walks in is carrying one of six things. Find yours — we'll tell you what we'd put you on, and what it costs, before you book anything.

Specialized treatment is only possible after a thorough client history. That is why every first visit opens with an intake and an assessment — injuries, training load, desk posture, surgeries, sleep — before anyone touches the table.

Not sure which one you are? Book a 60-minute sports massage — we assess first and steer from there. Or call and describe it; we have heard it before.

The difference

Hands are
the beginning.
Not the end.

Any studio can book you an hour on a table. Almost none can then put you in a 37° plunge, an infrared sauna, and a Game Ready compression sleeve. Cold, heat, contrast and compression — the stack elite programs run — on Broadway, today.

The Game Ready Med4Elite recovery system with a compression sleeve

Game Ready

Med4Elite

Iceless cold, controllable heat, rapid contrast and active compression in one system — for injuries, surgeries and every stage of rehab.

$50 / 30 min, one sleeve
The cold plunge at Firm Hands

Down to 37°

Cold Plunge &
Contrast Therapy

A hybrid cold plunge and hot tub. Go cold, go hot, repeat — the fastest way to move blood through tired tissue and cut inflammation.

$45 / 30 min
The infrared sauna at Firm Hands

Heat adaptation

Infrared Sauna

Raises core temperature the way exercise does. Repeat exposure builds heat tolerance, which shows up directly in performance.

$45 / 30 min
$220 Two hours · the full stack

The Ultimate
Recovery Experience

  1. 01 Contrast therapy — cold plunge into hot plunge
  2. 02 60-minute sports massage with assisted stretching
  3. 03 30 minutes in the infrared sauna

Three recovery technologies under one roof. The Med4Elite is Game Ready's clinical multi-modality system — the same equipment used in professional training rooms — and the infrared sauna comes free with every Lymphatic Drainage session.

The Youth
Special

Club season doesn't stop, and neither do the growth spurts. A sport massage plus one recovery treatment — infrared sauna, Med4Elite or cold plunge — for anyone seventeen or younger, at a price built for a family calendar rather than a pro budget.

  • Sport massage first. Assessment, then targeted work on whatever their sport loads hardest.
  • Their pick of the recovery suite. Sauna, compression or the plunge — included, not upsold.
  • A parent or guardian stays. Intake is completed with you, before the session starts.

Every therapist on this floor has competed. Dance, gymnastics, cheer, track and field, volleyball, Spartan races — which is why the assessment sounds like a conversation with a teammate rather than an intake interview.

Your first visit

The mascot

Say hello
to Bruce

Bruce is a hand. He has a face, a full set of arms, and better delts than most people who walk through our door. He is painted about your height, he lives in the hallway, and nobody planned for him to become the spot where everybody stops for a photograph.

The name on the door is Firm Hands. Bruce is what that looks like when you draw it — the hand that does the work, flexing. He is on the shirts. He is on the gift cards. He has been in the top left corner of every page of this website the whole time you have been reading it.

Somewhere along the way he stopped being a logo. Bruce isn’t the mascot — Bruce is the target. He is what a body looks like when nothing hurts and everything works: shoulders down, spine stacked, arms up because it costs him nothing to put them there.

Almost nobody walks in like that. Every hour on the table, every plunge, every stretch we send you home with is aimed at one thing — getting you closer to it than you were when you came through the door.

He isn’t decoration. He’s the standard — and he has been up there the whole time, waiting for you to come and meet it.

Bruce’s five rules

He did not write them. He just enforces them.

Fill the form in at home.

Injuries, surgeries, medications, what hurts and how long it has hurt. Five minutes at your kitchen table buys you five more minutes on the table here.

Turn up five minutes early.

Ten if the intake isn’t in yet. Street parking on Broadway, right outside. Come as you are.

Say something.

Pressure gets checked as we go. “Tell me” is always the right answer, and there is no prize for enduring more than you actually want to.

Drink the water.

Then do what your therapist told you — and avoid what they told you to avoid — for the next forty-eight hours. That part is the treatment too.

Get the photograph.

On your way out. He has been standing there flexing all day and it would be rude not to.

Listennnnn — when I tell you Jonathan will give you the massage of your LIFE, just go ahead and book your appointment now!!
